Dear Employer

I’m a freshman at Salt Lake Community College, I’m interested in an interview for the position of a Senior Automotive Service Technician that you have posted in the online job site. I would like to attain a position in you shop not only to gain experience but to also meet my qualification to get my ASE Certification. This in turn will give my more credit in my field and to serve as a benefit to my employers.

Experiences:

I have ten years previous experience in the field of automotive; I attained my first knowledge on how to repair automotives from Hunter High School. There I learned about the basic automotive repair in, I did minor engine diagnostics, and learned the functions of the automobile. I also learned how to use a sandblaster, tire balance machine, and tire changer.

Later on I got a job at National Car rental where I worked as a car detailer for the first six months and then moved on to maintenance where I did oil changes, engine diagnostic, tire repair, and tune-ups. After that I went on and learned about brake systems and how to repair major brake parts, Engine repair, overhauling and motor swap. I’m also experienced in suspension, transmissions and drive train. I am also familiar with auto body repair and paint.

The college course that I have completed has taught me how to repair engines, extensive electrical work and diagnostics in old and new vehicles. But it has also taught me on how to be detailed and efficient in finding solutions to fix issues.

After reading through requirements and qualifications, I feel comfortable in saying that I meet the criteria of the person you are looking for to work in your shop.  I have also taken communication courses and I am currently taking Human Relations to help further my skills in the work environment. It also helps me serve customers better by being able to communicate with customers properly.

I appreciate you taking your time to read my resume and I’m hoping to hear from you for an interview.

Sincerely,

Tola Keo
